"Louis truly should learn to read visions better."
2006-01-25 - 20:23 EST I am currently entirely absorbed in Sara Douglass's Darkwitch Rising. It's terribly long, even for Douglass, but I'm completely addicted to it. I like Noah just as much as I liked Cornelia. Her strange combination of reborn/Eaving is delightful, and the serenity that cloaks her every action and word produces a calming effect on me just reading it. And Louis is Coel, truly, moreso than ever Harold was. Louis is a little too tempestuous, a little too sensual instead of sexual, but he smolders just as Coel did. I love him. I find the Charles/Louis thing to be somewhat disconcerting and confusing. They are so similar - which I know is the point - but it's difficult to consistently remind myself of who they are. Perhaps it is simply because it is early in the C/L plot. Perhaps it will be easier to keep track of now that Coel is Coel. But it's a delightful read, truly. c.i.,p.i.q.e.
