it's not my problem it's not my problem
2002-11-16 - 14:41EST Song: Song 2, Blur Last night, I went out with five friends and saw Bowling for Columbine. I had no idea that Moore was a member of the NRA. That gave it a whole new perspective. The interview with Heston was surprising, but I thought the movie was excellent. Disturbing, amusing, sad, and wonderful. Disturbing because although I have seen all the footage of Columbine they showed (everyone else I was with hadn't, to my knowledge), it was terrible to see them put together on the same screen. The movie slipped into a bit of Roger 'n Me for a little bit with the welfare-to-work mother in Flint, but it worked well in the context of the movie. Afterward, we went to a supermarket, because this town is just that boring. It's strange to think I was in Littleton just a few months after Columbine. That was back when my sister lived in Longmont, and we got lost after going a dirt road in Garden of the Gods, and six hours later, voila, we're in Littleton. It really is just a normal little community. I bought a CD today. Downward Spiral, Nine Inch Nails. My mother picked up my birthday presents: Family Tree, Björk, and ( ), Sigur Ròs. I'm feeling rather out of it today. It's pleasant, I think. I like this. Visit kilgoretrout, because he signed my guestbook, and because his diary is cool. **** C.I.,P.I.Q.E.
